Discover the Heart Behind Pro Modern Cleaners!

Discover Our Story

My name is Priscila Moderno, and I have had a unique journey in discovering my passion for cleaning. For a significant part of my life, I worked as a cleaner, but eventually, I left that job to prioritize taking care of my family, including my husband and four children. However, at the age of 37, I made the decision to return to college and complete my education.

During my last two years of college, I had the opportunity to undertake two internships at the University of Bridgeport, where I collaborated with AmeriCorps on addressing Opioid addiction. It was an incredibly fulfilling experience, and I felt like I was soaring, making a positive impact in people’s lives.

However, life had other plans for me. My husband was diagnosed with AML, an aggressive blood cancer called Acute Myeloid Leukemia. This devastating news forced me to leave my internships and focus on caring for my family during this challenging time.

Just as we were starting to navigate through my husband’s illness, the Covid-19 pandemic hit the United States, leaving me without a job. I struggled to find stable employment and ended up taking on a series of temporary jobs here and there to make ends meet.

In the midst of this uncertainty, I decided to return to cleaning, something that I had been passionate about in my early 20s. Little did I know that this decision would lead me to rediscover my love for cleaning and realize that it was truly my calling.

Now, as I clean, I find joy and fulfillment in transforming spaces and creating a clean and organized environment for others. I have come to understand the saying, “Love what you do, and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” Cleaning has become more than just a job for me; it is a way for me to make a positive impact and find purpose in my work.

Looking back, I don’t regret the sacrifices I made when my family needed me the most. It was through those challenging times that I discovered my true passion and found what I love to do. I am grateful for the journey that has led me to this point, and I am excited to continue pursuing my passion for cleaning.
